A lifelong Delawarean, Emily A. Thompson proudly lives on her family farm in Hartly, where she was raised in a multi-generational farming and small business family. She learned the importance of faith, hard work, and personal responsibility - values that guide her today.
For nearly a decade, Emily has served Delaware families in state government, strengthening communities and supporting children. She currently oversees programs that promote the healthy development and well-being of children and families.
A proud alumna of Wilmington University, she earned both her undergraduate and graduate degrees there, and is pursuing a Doctorate in Prevention Science. Emily is a committed advocate for agriculture and families, and will bring strong, compassionate leadership that listens, collaborates, and delivers results.
